| ROOM40 is a label and multi-arts organisation based in Brisbane, Australia. Since 2000, ROOM40 has released over 50 high quality editions and multiples in the fields of electronics, improvisation, experimental-pop and sound-art. Curated by Lawrence English, the label continues to publish in and around the margins of each of these fields drawing on a diverse roster of both established and emergent sound-makers. | Demo policy | ||||||||
| ROOM40 is for the most part a friends and family label. And while room40 operates a fairly open demo policy (we're after all a pretty friendly bunch), in the past year we have simply been overrun by demos. So while you're more than welcome to send materials in, please be aware of a few things. First off please only send completed projects/albums - sending a couple of tracks to introduce yourself and say hi is fine, but we generally can't respond with feedback to these. Second, please send cd(r)s or vinyl - not a myspace link or link to a server. If you do want us to listen to these links then best to drop us a line via myspace or facebook - and when time allows we'll take a listen. We do try to get back to every finished record/demo we receive, but this does take time, so please understand any delays. Thanks and also be sure and send demos to the Australia address... |
