ARTIST ALBUM TEXT
I/O Calm Recorded in part at Burrum Heads, a small coastal community in North Queensland (Australia), calm is an album of environments. Underscored by field recordings, the album is deeply reflective of the spaces in which it was created.

Featuring all manner of atmospheric soundscapes, from the sounds of masses of solider crabs scuttling along the dunes to the sounds of lost children at a suburban shopping center (imbedded in Cityscapes) to planes flying overhead through the suburban outer ring of our cities (Flightpath), calm creates an audio map to the environments it‚s creator Lawrence English encountered while creating the record.

The album also features contributions from Steve Alexander, John Chantler, Ben Frost, Tam Patton, Heinz Riegler, Jack Sargeant and Michael Squire.
